ANALOG IMPRESSIONS
The Basics of Photographing in Practice

Photographing analog. This is a totally different experience. 

If you have little to no experience photographing with the analog camera and you’d like to dive quickly into the basics in practice with as little theory as needed – this intensive workshop is for you!

All you have to bring with you is your curiosity and eagerness for a new experience (…and your analog camera, if you have one).

In good weather, the workshop can take place outdoors, otherwise at the Atelier.
This workshop is also available as an online workshop.

WORKSHOP CONTENT

In this workshop you will:

    • get to know your camera
    • practice inserting the film into the camera and focusing
    • learn when to use which ISO
    • become familiar with the aperture and the shutter speed
    • …and with how they work together
    • practice working with the camera’s light meter
    • …and take lots of photos

As a bonus, if you’d like, you will:

    • learn about different kinds of film available
    • learn how to influence which areas in the picture are in / out of focus

Film & Camera

A B&W FILM will be provided by me.
If you already have a favorite film, you can of course bring it with you.

After the workshop, you can have your film developed in a lab. Here are some recommended places in Berlin or by mail. 
You can also develop your black & white film yourself in the Workshop ANALOG REFLECTIONS.

CAMERA: If you have your own analog camera, bring it with you.
If you don’t, you can use one that I provide you during the workshop for a deposit of 150 €.
